Gabriel Anastasia-Eguchi, Ph.D.

I do this work for love, not the system.

Hello! I am an associate professor, a father, a student organization advisor, a volunteer, and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. As a white, queer, trans-identified man who centers intersectional racial and economic justice in my work, I model trauma-informed, justice-oriented practices for my students and for members of my communities.

My consulting applies trauma-informed practices and social justice education to post-secondary pedagogy. I am highly trained in conventional, academic fields, as well as in social justice, equity, and inclusion pedagogy, and in the arts of meditation, mediation, and intuitive energy work. In workshops, I know how to use humor, humility, and vulnerability to help your team diver deeper in ways that traditional professional development sessions often cannot.

My Process

I strongly believe that teachers, staff, students, and administrators are struggling to navigate a rapidly-changing educational landscape. Folks don't need to go it alone.

My consulting work is based on current research in multiple fields: neuroscience, counseling, psychology, rhetoric and composition studies, social work, social justice studies, queer theory, and education. I translate these ideas through the lenses of trauma studies and create artifacts and practices that educators, staff members, and administrators can use the next day in their own work.

Once you book a free consultation with me, we work collaboratively to determine the scope and nature of your needs. I listen to you carefully, ask questions, and write up an action plan that includes my pricing for services rendered.
